About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Hitchhike from Portland to Los Angeles trading art for rides and places to stay

ABOUT ME

I like life. It is hard to describe myself in words, as I assume it is for everybody else. I like to experience new things and think new things. I like to create as well as examine others' creations. I like to travel and want to travel more then I have. I am currently studying at occidental college with a double major in physics and religious studies, but I am interested in just about all disciplines. I love music and have played the piano, oboe, harp, french horn, guitar throughout my life, and dabble in many other instruments. Currently I have been working alot on art. My favorite medium is probably stenciling, because it lets you have the most vibrant colors. If you want to you can check out more of my stuff at my site: http://isaaccohen.mosaicglobe.com/ I like to ride bicycles both bmx and road and mountain and just about anything that has two wheels, but because of a knee injury I haven't been able to ride as much as i would like to. I love philosophy and religious ideas and consider myself to be a spiritual person, although I am not exactly sure what that means. I am interested in understanding the universe from as many perspectives as I can and hope to learn from as many new people as possible. Really though, I just like life.

PHILOSOPHY

The fractal nature of reality allows us to understand even if we cannot see the absolute.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Everything I have ever done is amazing. To simply be alive is a biological phenomenon, let alone be able to communicate. Still I want to do many many more amazing things in my life. Some of the best moments were having the cherry blossoms swirl around me in a rainy, windy winter, getting lost on the side of a mountain in honduras, Surfing in Chile, Meeting the head monk of a temple in Taiwan, Discovering a mine in the north cascades, spelunking in eastern oregon, Traversing a canyon in rainbow basin and touring with an orchestra in South Korea and Taiwan

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn more about life. Also how to meditate, do yoga and in general how to live better. I can talk about religion and physics, a bit at least... I know how to play a couple of instruments, I would love to help anybody who wants to learn how to make a stencil, I can juggle, and like to share experiences and ideas, including but not limited to: entertaining Youtube videos, adventure stories, cooking tips, philisophical ideas, artmaking, near death experiences, how to be a better couchsurfer, where to visit, how to be a better person, etc.
