ABOUT ME

I'm an amateur musician and I love to sing and play piano, flute, and guitar. I mostly sing jazz, classical, Christian, and a little country. I love to play card games, board games and online and I love to get together with awesome people to just hang out and have a good time. I love to watch TV and movies and I most enjoy watching horror and comedy, genre-wise. I like to think of myself as flexible, though I sometimes fall a little short of that. As you can probably see from my pictures, I am on the larger side, but I am trying very hard to get to a lower weight. I also love to read and my favorite type of exercise is swimming.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I'm hoping to do some surfing in the semi-near future, but I haven't done any yet. However, I'm currently looking for people in New York City who may be willing to meet for coffee/a slice of pizza/whatever and tell me what some of their favorite restaurants, cafes, hang outs, etc. are and make friends in the process. However, I would also like to meet friends in various other places in New York State and northern Massachusetts to see if they're the type of people I may want to surf with/host and, again, to simply make friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I haven't done any couch surfing, unless you count going to stay with family or friends for a couple of days.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I love to read Stephen King books and watch the movies based on them. I also like to read V. C. Andrews books. I enjoy reading quite a lot.

Music: Classical (Bach, Beethoven, Gweneth Walker, Rutter, Vivaldi), Jazz/Cabaret (Karen Oberlin, Frank Sinatra, Klea Blackhurst, etc), and a little bit of country and rock.

Movies: the Batman series, Pretty Woman, the Lethal Weapon series, Hair, Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, Home Alone 1 and 2, Fiddler on the Roof, Copycat, and a few others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to see Mary Poppins on Broadway, which was absolutely amazing!

Also, the first time I held my youngest cousin when he was a baby.

The first time I sang a solo - it was a pretty breath-taking experience!

I'm telling you, I can't list just ONE!!!! :-)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help you if you want to learn to sing or play piano/flute (if you're a beginner) and I can help you learn to cook. I'd love to learn new recipes, though, if you're a good cook already! =)
