About Me

ATTENTION people of earth! This is a community called Crunchytown. It's a workshop, art space, sound studio, zen garden, playground, circus... basically it's a transforming creative space that shape shifts with the power of the people passing through. Please spend 5 mins to read my profile to decide if you are interested in being a part of the experience. If you choose to continue, it's important to give us an idea of what kind of person you are and open yourself up a little in your request. We are a community house that relies on everyones input and are looking for team players that want to be a part of something big. We're working on a living art space in a Warehouse. CrunchyTown is again expanding on possibilities. We are looking for motivated craftsmen, plumbers, electricians, chefs, musicians, performers, artists or anyone with a special skill and/or community spirit.

ABOUT ME

I’m a solo lady traveler from Boston, MA starting my second year living and working in Australia. I love experiencing new cultures and surrounding myself with people completely different from myself. You can pretty much always find me in the kitchen, I love to cook with new ingredients. One of my favorite thing to do in a new place is wander around a grocery store, you discover so much about a place and local food is the best! I work mostly in hospitality because, as cheesy as it is, I really love to make people smile :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am unbelievably grateful as I am able to live my dream of travel largely because of the support, graciousness and generosity of friends, family and strangers. I think this is an incredible community and I’m honored to be a part of it. For now I look to give back by being a conscientious surfer but I look forward to one day opening my home to travelers just as others have done for me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This past December I took a serious leap of faith, quit my full-time desk job and became a full-time wanderer! I’m currently slow traveling/backpacking across land and sea towards Australia where, eventually, I hope to find work near the beach or on a farm (or both!) But right now everyday is about the journey and not the destination, I don’t want to miss a second of this adventure.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook and can definitely help prepare a meal or, of course, clean up afterwards. I’m at the very beginning of my long-term travels but I’m happy to share my story and how it’s going so far. I have quite a few other stories up my sleeve and am always looking for new ones! I’ll always try to leave a place better than when I found it.
