Hey/Salut/Hallo! Nice to e-meet you!

I hope to meet many fellow travel adventurers and share past experiences and knowledge :-) Pre-covid, I had been discovering more of our world for over 3 years. I am learning French and German and can help with English language (I was previously an English teacher in Madagascar)

I am a trained Ski Instructor, social lover, sailer, hiker, foodie and openminded spirit. I previously lived in New Zealand for 2 years and Madagascar for a year, then spent a summer working in France. Now I work in the UK for the NHS, but my passion for discovery and CS has never left!

I have travelled throughout India, South-East Asia, Australasia and Europe, some solely and some with friends. I have been SO lucky to have met the people I have met so far and I am hoping to add more to my list.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have used CS many times before but shared a previous account with an ex-partner. I created my own back in 2019.

CS has been a real gem! I have used it throughout Europe and Asia, met many local people, trekked with local communities and charities, eaten and drank foods I never would have otherwise of heard of, if it wasn't down to my CS hosts. I love this site! It's the BEST way to meet nearby, likeminded people, wanting to share travel stories and general life tips.

I would love to offer my home to fellow travellers when the time comes and I myself am home. I want to meet people, join events, plan trips and long-haul journeys with others. I promise entertaining (hopefully) conversation, many travel stories and some knowledge on the food, beers and British traditions if you ever want to know :)

I'm a readaholic! I always have a book going and I prefer the hardcopy than any digital version (perhaps it's that book smell....) Particular favourites of mine are Slaughterhouse 5, A Spot of Bother, Educated, Lord of the Flies, Pet Sematary, The Alchemist...
Movies: Anything Tarantino, The Godfather, Love Actually, LOTR, Forrest Gump, Amelie, Harry Potter...
Music: Everything!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Car-camped for 2 months around Europe- slept in lorry parks, petrol stations, forests, mountains etc., throughout all weather conditions. The more it rained, the cosier the boot of my car became :-)

Skydived and skied on my 21st birthday- all in the same day!
Befriended many people from many different cultural backgrounds and countries. I feel I have at least 1 friend in every continent.
Lived in New Zealand for 2 years- became a Ski Instructor, Motel Manager, Waitress and should- be Kiwi
Lived in Madagascar for a year and worked as an English teacher for a software engineering NGO school
