Overview
About Me
We are Sven and Isabell from Germany and Mila, a real Chilean dog girl. We have been a couple for more then eight years now. We started to travel in our self converted camper van in August 2017. So far we traveled through Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, Greece, Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, Iran, Pakistan, India and Nepal.
We had our Volkswagen T4 van already, when we decided to go and drive around the world with it. For one year we spent all our free time, weekends and holidays to convert the car into a self sufficient camper van - our new home! We cut the roof and put a roof top on and then built a convertible bed/sofa, table, kitchen, cupboards etc. in it. We built everything out of wood. Sven did the wood work and fixed all car issues. Isi painted the wood and did the sewing as we needed cushion covers and curtains. You can visit our blog to get to know about our travels: www.8wheels.blog
We both love to be in the nature, especially in the mountains. As we are adventurous people, we love doing ski touring in winter time and mountainbiking and hiking in summer. Isi also enjoys doing yoga and running. We both love animals.
As Isi is a Vegetarian, we always cook vegetarian and vegan dishes. At home we try to buy a lot of organic food and to not use plastic whenever possible. Traveling we face a lot of difficulties doing so. But we manage to avoid plastic bags whenever we can.
We find cities too loud and hectic most of the time and are always looking to find spots where we can get some peace and quiet and just enjoy the nature and animals around.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We love to meet people on the way! To get to know their favorite local spots, food and learn about the culture. And of course we are happy if we find a place to stay for a couple of days with a safe parking, wifi and a washing machine ....
Interests
We love to discover great landscapes and do outdoor sports, especially mountainbiking, skiing, snowboarding and hiking.
