About Me

I am a singer/songwriter, a student of Hampshire college as well as the world, a (middle) sister to three amazing women. The most precious thing in the world to me is meeting and connecting with people from all different walks of life. I love the space that CouchSurfing provides for that. My mission is to experience life with open arms, compassion, curiosity and love.

An influential quote that grounds me:
"No mud, no lotus" - Thich Nhat Hanh

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To make new friends, to explore! To see new cultures, to learn from the wisdom of others.

Interests

My two greatest passions are music and travel and when those two can be combined, I am my happiest self! I am studying writing, psychology and Spanish in school and am a singer/songwriter.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Homeshake, La Femme, Bob Dylan, Pavement, Big Theif

Movies: La Nana, Inglorious Bastards, Almost Famous, Pans Labrynth

Books: East of Eden, The BFG, The Language of Flowers

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Solo traveled through India after high school!

Teach, Learn, Share

Currently learning Spanish in school and in t-2 weeks will be testing out my skills for 6 months in Chile! I teach guitar when the opportunity arises, but I think I am still learning how to teach, much respect to the teachers in this world! I am a very good sharer of food, in fact, I most enjoy food when sharing and not just because I am indecisive and struggle to limit a meal to one dish!

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good time, a seeing of the sites, we'll go to the music venue down the street and catch a free Monday night show! And of course, if you come to Chicago, you gotta visit the bean at Millenium park (a park which my dad named... or so he says... my sister and I mostly believe him...)

Countries I’ve Visited

Botswana, Cambodia, Canada, Costa Rica, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nicaragua, South Africa, Thailand, Viet Nam, Zimbabwe
