ABOUT ME

I have trouble describing myself since whatever someone is struck by about me is relative to what they are used to and I think different people notice different things about me. Sometimes I'm really quiet and lost in my own world, sometimes I'm animated and talkative. I think I try to balance out the people around me. I'm almost always kind and laid back, but I can be brutally honest and tough when it seems necessary.

I have a pretty random, flexible schedule. I'm living off money I made from doing a medical study and am spending my time on various projects, including being on the collective at Minnehaha Free Space (an anarchist community center) and being in bands and making art.

PHILOSOPHY

I value honesty, humility, respect, and inclusiveness, when it comes to human interaction. I also think it's important not to be self-righteous. I should keep reminding myself that's what I really think...

Music, Movies, and Books

Uh I don't wanna answer this too extensively cause it will take too long, and I don't need anyone to try to judge whether we'd get along based on if we like the same music or whatever. But music is super important to me. Some of my latest favorites are Lisa Germano, Des Ark, Cutting Room Floor, Fiona Chamness. I've been really into female and/or queer identified songwriters who can eloquently talk about rape culture and the subtleties of oppressive/manipulative interpersonal dynamics. That hits the spot for me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Performing my songs is one of the most amazing things I get to do from time to time. When people are really listening and connecting with the music, that is the best feeling. Similarly, getting to watch someone else play music that resonates with me is just as incredible.
