About Me
Hi!! Not sure where to begin! One of my favorite things in the world is taking delight in the nooks and crannies that exist everywhere I go. Couchsurfing/wwoofing/talking to new people definitely helps foster that. I also love love love showing others my own favorite spots (places I've lived where I can offer advice - Rochester, NY; New London, CT; Copenhagen, DK; Wellington, NZ; Boston, MA).
Hobbies are also a fun thing to share. I studied Botany and Environmental Science so generally love learning about plants and spending time outdoors (hiking, biking, swimming, etc). I've recently become less afraid and more excited by the prospect of bicycle touring and am trying to work my way up to longer trips (so far I have just biked from Boston to Portland, Maine). I've also gone on backpacking trips up to 5 days long and canoe trips up to 12 days long. In the land of art I try to sketch, paint, make prints, embroider, knit, collage, write letters, journal etc. especially with others! I do improv and perform a bit around Boston with indie teams but am still definitely not comfortable on stage - just like being silly with friends! And finally, I love playing music of all kinds but never studied any instrument long enough to be good at it and probably never will. But I love jamming with people who are actually good so I can mess around in the background while they carry the tune/rhythm/etc. I have a saxophone, guitar, and ukulele but will play any instrument that's in front of me (harmonica, kazoo, bass, violin, drums, trumpet, .....). Dancing also brings me lots of joy.
Don't hesitate to reach out!
