Overview
About Me
I was born in Israel to an English father and a South African mother, I have a brother who is a musician in New York, currently living in Berlin, Germany.
I want to travel around Europe, meet new people and pick up some languages.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When travelling I didn't much like staying in hotels and hostels becuase of the institutional atmosphere of them. The good experiences I've had when travelling came from the people I've met and stayed with. If I'm alone and I'm going to the recommended locations, it all kind of feels the same. But being close to the human fabric of the area I'm visiting, sharing the experience with someone and getting to know the events and locations I should go to from locals makes all the difference. A phrase I like in this regard is "A stranger is friend you haven't met yet".
Interests
My main hobby is freestyle frisbee, which can be defined in many ways, but for me it's a mix between juggling, acrobatics, dancing and martial arts. Music and commeradery are an integral part of it as well. It also has a lot of Zen and philosophical implications, which I'd gladly elaborate on if you wish... I also like biking, linguistics, fine (and less than fine) dining, computer gaming, a bit of hiking and occasional partying.

Music, Movies, and Books
Any films by Cohen Brothers and Edgar Wright, books by Michael Chrichton, Douglas Adams, Carl Hiaasen. I enjoy Reggea and Dancehall, Electronic music, Hip Hop but I like good music of all kinds. I like animation of different sorts. I also sometimes enjoy some heavier stuff, such as Sam Harrris' lectures about consciousness and the illusion of free will.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Just moving to Europe and meeting lots of cool people in different countries.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've worked and volunteered as a flying disc instructor, promoting the sport and its values of Spirit of the Game, Flow and Most Fun Wins.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Politeness and consideration of others are important values to me. I would say that I am sensitive to how people treat each other, I always try to be aware of how my behaviour is preceived by others and try to be someone who is considerate towards their host, while trying to be flexible; the best thing would be if you wanted to go around and do fun stuff with me, hiking, travelling, eating and partying etc. But if you can't spare much time, of course I don't think that the host has any such obligations towards the guest. And of course I am more than willing to help out with whatever you might need; clean up, walk the dogs, stay home for the cable guy, help you rearrange the apartment or anything you might happen to need help with.
Also, you'll get a gift :D
