About Me

I tend to think of myself as a highly-trained expert in pretending I know what I'm doing with my life. My personal fortune teller is confident this year will be a good one. I have a genetic predisposition to skepticism but I trust his expertise.

The following is a non-exhaustive list of things I enjoy, in no particular order:
- I enjoy spending time without looking at clocks,
- I enjoy sleeping without a roof over my head,
- I enjoy drinking wine and periodically retrying to quit smoking tobacco,
- I enjoy Henry David Thoreau, Janis Joplin and Bill Hicks,
- I enjoy a sufficiently good story or a strikingly bad one.

On the other hand, the stuff I do not enjoy includes:
- Processed food,
- Police brutality,
- Xenophobia and narrow-mindedness,
- People who take pictures of me for whatever reason,
- Consumerism and having to work from 9:00 to 18:00.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m here because I’ve begun to realize that exceeding in caution can be a dangerous business! Too much time has been spent studying, working, and diligently obeying. I have measured out my life with coffee spoons—but no longer!

"From this hour I ordain myself loos’d of limits and imaginary lines,
Going where I list, my own master total and absolute,
Listening to others, considering well what they say,
Pausing, searching, receiving, contemplating,
Gently, but with undeniable will, divesting myself of the holds that would hold me. "

Music, Movies, and Books

There’s way too much to cover here... Let’s save the talk about music, movies, and books for when we'll meet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Planned to spend 5 months in Morocco in 2020 for study abroad, but when Covid hit and borders closed, I ended up exploring the country for an extra 3 months.

Recently ended up living in Barcelona.

- Anything else, really.
