ABOUT ME

Thanks to my studies I got to meet inspiring people from all over the world, and I always enjoy moments when people from various backgrounds meet up.
Two years ago, I backpacked around Canada for a year through wwoofing/helpxing experiences where I got to stay at people's places. I had a great time sharing the life of the families who hosted me, and I've stayed close to them since then, so I suppose I'm a fun guest to have around !

Ooh, also, I'm tall but rather skinny, so I don't take much space ;)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately I have not had the chance to host any couchsurfer at home back in France because I've rarely been home over the last couple years...

Count on me to help you with anything if I'm sleeping on your couch though ! I really see the concept of couchsurfing as an exchange.

Interessi

Basically everything which is uncommon, funny, genuine and creative.

I like art (literature/poetry as favourite), sports (basketball, sailing and ice hockey mostly), camping, having a beer with my friends and sitting down on a bench to look at passers by. Not in a creepy way though. I promise.

Musica, film e libri

Films: Legend of the Fall, The Beach, Les 4 saisons d'espigoule

Music: it just has to fit my mood ! I'd read with classical music on, get pumped up for a basketball game with hip hop, party with electronic music and chill with some "world music".

Books: The Baron in the Trees (Italo Calvino)

Ah! I was lucky enough during my travels to have many stories to share, but wouldn't that be more fun to tell them in person ?

One of my hosts while travelling in Canada was this very wise old man who introduced me to zen philosophy and taught me this mantra: "life doesn't give you what you want, it gives you what you need".
It may sound corny, but for someone like me, born and raised in the western world, child of consumerism and never ending frustration, it was an eye-opening thought. I suppose there are many interpretations to it, but I like to look at it as an invitation to be strong by accepting challenges rather than trying to be strong by resisting the course of events.
