About Me

I am taking time to learn, explore, adventure, travel, try new activities, meet and enjoy time with positive people, revive from within and BE SYNERGISTIC!

I have an undergrad degree in Economics with minor in Calculus and a masters in Industrial Engineering. I really enjoy strategic planning, solution development and using data to understand.

I was brought up in a military family so I have moved often in my life. I was born in the finger lakes region of upstate New York and returned several times in my life (collectively 9yrs). Also lived in Michigan (3yrs), California (7yrs), Pennsylvania (1.5yrs), South Carolina (2yrs), Illinois (1.5yrs), Kansas (1yr), Texas (17yrs) , Virginia (11yrs), and Nomadic (3yrs). Currently, I am a legal resident of Fort Worth, Texas

I retired from the US Army after 26 years in 2013. I am a father of 2 adult daughters and a son-in-law. When my wife decided to leave, I sold our home in 2021 and have been traveling around the world and within the USA since. I was working as a digital Nomad with Capital One, but in February 2023, I decided to stop working altogether and take some time to travel further, enjoy life, achieve new goals and consider a new business. I look at the divorce and retirement as a positive opportunity to learn more about myself. It really is fun ‘expanding’ who I am!

Traveling and meeting fellow couch surfers has truly enhanced my life and developed new relationships around the world. I have been to all states except Alaska and hope to get there in the Spring of 2025.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I sold my home and am now a full time traveler using a small SUV. I have totally enjoyed the experience I've had with couch-surfers. It’s truly an opportunity to learn and grow! When CS is not available in some areas, I stay in airbnbs, misterbnb, cabins, tents, hammocks or hotels. This has been a great phase of my life being single and meeting so many new CS friends everywhere. I'm surpised how many people know about CS and it's really been a freeing experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

Old and current Country music is at my core. I grew up with it. I love Jazz, big band, latin, pop, EDM, blues, bluegrass, alternative rock, christian, classical and really open to experience new music.

I love to read non-fiction, personal and professional development books, math books, Business books, 'biographies of older people' and anything witty!

I prefer watching psychological thrillers, witty, and smart movies. I enjoy any movie where I am taken through a variety of emotions. I also enjoy action and military type movies. I can watch romantic comedies, but they are not always as funny as they think they are.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Won a "Twister" competition against 2,000 college students while at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT)

Teach, Learn, Share

We can discuss your business and brainstorm creative ideas! I can teach country, salsa and some ballroom dancing!

I can be as energetic or as chill as the situation requires! I can share great traveling stories, life stories, Army stories, leadership guidance, dance lessons, fitness advice, event planning ideas, great at cleaning and organizing, cook a variety of things, math tutoring and spreadsheet help.
