Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I used to host a lot of folks. Planning a trip to NYC where I have surfed before and made some awesome friends who have in turn come and visit Austin. So excited about going back!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have had many great people stay with us at the house. It has been great to talk with folks, sharing recipes and ideas with those on their way through Austin. My first and only surfing experience was incredible. There were 10 surfers all together in a basement in NYC. Everyday we would split off into groups and explore the city, and meet back at night to hang out and have a great time. It was all the great things about being in a hostel, but all couch surfers!
Interests
Bicycles rides, artwork, music, delicious local food, exotic coffee from afar!, clear skied nights and thunderous rainy days. I love health food stores and coffee shops. When I am on the road, this is where I spend quite a bit of time talking and networking. Definitely adding craft beer to this list. Constantly developing my palate and learning more and more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have seen lava cooling in the ocean- the creation of new land. I have gone skydiving with a random guy in my biology class from the Dominican Republic the last day he was in the country. I have lived off of trail mix, dried fruit and soy milk while sleeping on rooftops in random cities. I have dreamed of tsunamis carrying me away while scuba diving in Hawaii.
