Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Jazz!
I consider myself an open-minded traveller from Germany!
I'm an exchange student at University of North Carolina at Charlotte!
My major is secondary education and I'll be teaching English, History and Geography.
I already had the best possible time during my first semester and that's why I'm coming back for a second one in August.
I'd love to explore more of the beautiful nature of North Carolina, such as the lakes and mountains there, but also the beach. Other states/cities like New York, Florida, and Colorado are also on my list!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
There's nothing better than exploring a new place and being with locals!
Getting to know a place a little offside the classic touristic spots is what I strive for everywhere I go.
Couchsurfing seems to be a great opportunity to get to know open-minded and hospital people from all over the world. I'm always looking forward to make new friends, so hosting me won't end without an invitation to my place. :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Wow, that's a difficult question...
Music has to fit my mood and is has to have a good beat/rhythm. That's basically all... so for example I love
Tracy Chapman and Adele, Tegan and Sara, Flume, The XX and Chet Faker, Movement, Fritz Kalkbrenner, but I also enjoy R'n'B and Hip Hop songs in a very laid-back mood or for going out/dancing, for example Drake, Beyoncé, Rihanna, DeJ Loaf, Rich Homie Quan, Future, Trey Songz, and many many more.
Movies: All-time favorite "Love and Basketball", Coach Carter, WILD, Dangerous minds, Into the Wild, Harry Potter, The perks of being a wallflower, ...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm not quite there where I want to be in life but my study abroad experience (December 2015 - May 2016 and July 2016 - January 2017) taught me so much about life and myself.
It's nothing "special" anymore when you decide to live and study abroad, but for me it's really amazing and I can't wait to be back in July!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a future teacher and experienced with primary and secondary level teaching. So if you have children, I'd be more than willing to jump in and help them a little.
I'm always happy when I'm able to share a little of my mother language (German) or talk about different values and mentalities because I'm very interested in cultures.
Unfortunately, I'm not very musical, but I always wanted to play the guitar. If you have one, we could try to figure out some chords.
I also love taking photos, especially in the city. Maybe we can go on a photo tour together.
