About Me

* Currently not in Hamburg - can't host before July *

I am an open-minded, a little travel-obsessed girl, who loves getting to know other cultures and learning new languages. After working in a Hospital in the Bolivia for one year, I got back to Germany and started studying medicine in Hamburg. I share a flat with 5 friends of mine, I have known them for ages and really enjoy spending time with them.
Right now I am planning a trip to Greece and Italia in March. I will be travelling together with Belen, my hostsister from Chile, whom I met in 2011 during my exchange when still beeing in school. I am so glad about the oportunity of spending a few weeks travelling with her and we would really like to stay on your couch. We are both open, easy-going and curious about getting to know more about you. It's way fun getting to know a city and staying at somebody's house than spending just another night at an anonymous hostel, you will forget soon about. I have had so many interesting conversations with people I met during my travels, I like to learn more about the places I visit by talking to people living there.

Apart of that I hope to be spending a semester in Lisbon in the summer of 2019. I really fell in love with Portugal during my last trips. * Currently learning Portuguese - always glad about the chance to practice!*

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During my travels I have met so many good people, who shared their stories with me, showed so much kindness and hospitality and helped me out in some dificult situations. So this is the least I can do: trying to do the same to other travels by hosting them. It's just a good chance for getting in touch with like-minded travelers while one is not able to travel. During my last trip to Southamerica I stayed for the first time at the home of other Couchsurfers ( I had only hosted before) and I really enjoyed the experience. It enables you to get to know a place differently :)

I ' ve had so many got conversations, who made me think a lot, enabled me to see things diferently by providing another perspective, I am really looking forward to having more of these conversations.

Interests

On the one hand I love living in a huge city and being able to just blend in with all the other people from time to time. Being able to go to concerts, theater plays and museum whenever you feel like is something I really appreciate. On the other hand being outside, having a walk in the woods or in the countryside is the best thing to get a clear mind or simply relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. Even better is having a good friend next to you while doing so. I really enjoy spending a lot of time with the people I care about, having good conversations, backing or cooking together and playing games. I really enjoy playing Volleyball, Swimming, doing pilates or other sports. When I was younger I spent a lot of time horseriding in the country side – I really miss that. Of course laying in bed with a cup of tea and a good book or film, can make quite a good afternoon (on a rainy day) as well.
A few years ago I rediscoverd hiking for me. Falling into bed after hiking a whole day through the beautiful nature is such a great feeling. In 2016 I hiked the GR 221 in Mallorca, the Fisherman’s Trail and the Camino portugues en Portugal – right know I am thinking about walking the Zagoria Trek in Greece in summer! If you have experience to share I am always glad about new ideas for destinations or treks :)
Mission for 2018: Finally investing more time and learning more about analog photography!
