To continue to meet people from different backgrounds, countries, cultures, circumstances and to converse, sharing ideas, stories, philosophies histories and opinions. Learning about the world as it is rather than the world as I think it is.

ABOUT ME

Graduated from university and travelled for a year, after returning home I decided to follow my dream of living in a foreign country, learn new language and experience a different culture......so I now live in Madrid teaching English.

My passions are travel, meeting people, music, sharing stories, teaching, sport, reading, partying, beer pong, exploring the unknown but most of all LEARNING. . I grew up in New Zealand so enjoy the outdoors and love snowboarding.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In the past I have hosted but for now I am constrained to meeting up with people in my current city for a beer and a chat.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While I lived in New Zealand I hosted people from many different countries and all of them were interesting, fun and intriguing experiences. When I travelled I had my first experience being hosted in Poland and had further amazing experiences in Belarus.

Interests

My primary passion is to travel, I love to learn, followed by sports and then reading. Cruising down a mountain on a snowboard with clear blue skies is pretty up there with the great things in life. I also love soccer, squash, tennis, table tennis...basically any game you can play.

Reading is important to me also, relaxing and reading a good book will always and forever beat sitting down to watch a movie or TV! I also love to party and dance, drunken philosophical chats, learning about other cultures, histories, life stories, meeting new people.

I love to go to music festivals also, the beauty of 40,000 people expressing themselves to music is a wonderful thing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Winning a three day trip to Europe, then cancelling my honours year, quitting my job and selling my possessions at home to travel Europe, work in a famous party hostel in Budapest for three months followed by 1 month in South East Asia before coming home with $3 in my pocket....
