ABOUT ME

I'm originally from the island of Madeira island. My mother is from the north of Portugal (Santa Maria da Feira) and so i have some family around Porto. I came here to study for my degree in Engineering. In the meantime I finished the studies, worked abroad and travelled a lot.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been part of couchsurfing for a few years and I have received over 120 people alas with many breaks in between. Most of the people I have received usually stay 2-3 nights and i'm not fond of people coming only one night as you basically don't really get to know eachother.

I haven't had any surf experiences myself, ironically, because when I travel I normally have friends to accomodate me already. I will definitely try it though in the future. Throughout this time I've been part of the couchsurfing community I have made some very good friends that I wish to visit :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to pretty much everything, i studied piano for many years. I can listen to classical, and then to electro/house to metal, depends on the mood.

Movies i also am very open minded, as long as it's good quality with good actors and a nice storyline.

Ever since I got myself an e-reader my reading has improved a lot. I like reading a good story or trying out new fields such as psychology.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well i could talk about cool things i've seen or done but probably the best experiences i ever had was one of the two: living and working in another country or escaping for 6 months just travelling.

Indeed couchsurfing is about knowing people, sharing culture, finding amazing people and making great friendships. Everyone has their own story.
