be skeptical.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted a few times in Melbourne and Budapest, and surfed a heap in Europe in 2009/10. Hoping to get a bit more active again in 2013.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have made some amazing friends thanks to the CS network in France, Sweden, the UK, Hungary, and at home in Oz!

Music, Movies, and Books
I've liked lots of books, music, movies, but I can't name them all.
Probably the best films I've seen are Dancer in the Dark and Boys Don't Cry.
On books, I really enjoy Nicholson Baker's works, and I really connected with Papillon while I travelled through France in 2009.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to NY in Dec 2001 after the WTC attacks, where I volunteered at ground zero over 2 nights. I also witnessed Scotland's John Higgins score a maximum at the LG Snooker Cup in 2003, but I gather this wouldn't register as amazing for many people :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a handy snooker player and reasonably advanced French speaker. And i'm a compassionate listener. I'm also a trained teacher of English as a foreign language.
I'd love some tips on:
playing musical instruments
any kind of language/linguistics
mending clothes
loving oneself
servicing bikes
