ABOUT ME

During my time as an undergraduate I had the opportunity to live in Costa Rica for a year. I took full advantage of this time and travel through several other Central American Countries, including Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Panama. My dream was to travel through South America, but lack of time and fund put that dream on hold. I finished my undergraduate degree and received a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science. My love for the outdoors, traveling, and learning encouraged me to pursue my masters degree. I am currently half way through completion, and I am going to complete my degree while serving in the Peace Corps. Until I head out in a few months I am taking advantage of all the traveling opportunities that I can!
My current goal is to travel all countries in the Western Hemisphere. I am currently living in Costa Rica, and plan on traveling north to Mexico catching all the countries on the way up and on the way down. After that I am going to take a few months to travel through all the countries in South America, absorbing as much culture as I can. All before flying back to the United States. When I get back I have a few more months of school, before I am heading out on a cross country road trip through the states.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe experiencing life to the fullest, and having no regrets. Most people think to much of what might happen instead of just doing; as a result I try to live by my motto "don't think just do". It has treated me well so far, giving me opportunities many would be too fearful of trying.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have stayed with several fellow couchsurfers during my travels through Central America. I enjoyed every last one of the hosts, and had an experience far more meaningful than if I stayed in a hostel or hotel. Sadly, I currently do not have a permanent residence, so I am unable to host surfers at the moment; however, as soon as I have a place my couch is open! Even if I can stay or host, experiencing the area with a local is always a pleasure.

It has been amazing! All the hosts that I have stayed with have provided me with the most memorable moments in my travels.

Intereses

I have fallen in love with traveling and all the activities that come with it. I am always interested to go and explore what the world has to offer, from the local people to the sports. I also enjoy camping and hiking (really roughing it).

Música, películas y libros

I am completely open to learning any new books, movies, or music since I like such a wide variety. I enjoy books that have an aspect of mystery and suspense, not knowing how it will end until the last page. I enjoy the same type of movies, ones that really make you think. I also love to watch most comedies or love stories. Music is one of my favorite past times! I can listen to different types of music based on my mood. Most of the time I could be caught listening to mellow songs. But there is not one genre that I would be completely opposed to.

It is hard to pinpoint this to one amazing thing I have done, as I love to tell stories about all my adventures. Let me tell you a story of one of the amazing things when we meet !

I am all over the map! I could trade interesting travel stories, teach a few cooking techniques and skills,or something as simple as making bracelets. I would love to learn anything that a person has to offer!
