About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to take life by storm, without ever having to grow up.

ABOUT ME

It's hard to write about who you are. I mean, do we ever really know? I have always felt as though the root of one's being is similar to that of a tree, the trunk being the core, the part that is permanent for as long as you are. Something that grows but never changes location as it is rooted in the ground in which it came from. However, the branches and the leaves represent the expanding of that core; the many different experiences and understandings that shape who we have become. Come autumn the leaves fall and the branches are exposed allowing the cold and wind to reach them, but in spring a new growth begins to sprout and shape the tree once again.

I'm not a hippie. I really don't like those kinds of generalizations. I would say that I'm a dreamer, open to all people and all experiences. Those who know me tell me that I care too much. Sometimes I have even been referred to as 'mom'. But don't let that give you the wrong impression, for there is a fierce and wild child inside of me. I am honest, sincere, and can always lend an ear. And if there is one thing that you should really know... when I laugh, I laugh loud and hard.

PHILOSOPHY

WE'RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started this account a couple years ago but nothing really came of it until I left Canada. These days I can offer to be a friend when you're in a new place (that new place being Sweden at the moment), or just someone to point you in the right direction. Come January I will have moved in to a new apartment that has a fancy pull-out couch, so I will be able to offer accommodation as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm just a beginner. A friend and I took a short little tour through Europe and I met wonderful people and saw amazing things. I'm hoping to continue that adventure for a long time to come, and want to help others have their own. By using or lending a couch, one can really truly have a unique and comfortable experience in a new place. I'm excited to meet and greet many!

Interests

I study photography, so I guess that should be listed first, however I'm really into art and art-making of all kinds. I enjoy video, drawing, printmaking, design, writing, blah, blah, blah... I would have to say that music is my passion. I have had a couple of different music 'projects' with friends, and am known to research via the internet the many kinds of musical phenomena that are out there. I love it when people show me new music. I also love dancing to good music. That is the best. But there are so many things I am interested in, how could I write them all?
