ABOUT ME

JON:-
Studied photography and gained Higher National Diploma in Hertfordshire England and went on to work in the photography business for a few years. also for many years I have been playing the bass and 6string electric guitar and so occassionally I have played in a few bands. I have also studied music theory which I used to help me become a music teacher after working as a photographer. I went back to photography for a short while and then went on to take a Post Masters Degree in photography. now I am travelling with my lovely girlfriend Kim.
KIM:-
I studied Psychology in naples Florida-my home town and after which I took a stint in the modelling business for many years. early on in life i had learnt to sing and after modelling went into music and had some minor tv roles-i.e. trailers and commercials. this was all fun and very hard work-a lot harder than the glamorous image that is often perceived by a lot of people. and of course now i am travelling along with my boyfriend jon.

PHILOSOPHY

We beleive that you only have this one life here in this form that we know of right now, it is best to do the right thing and be nice to everybody and have the greatest time you can as life is for living and there is so much to do and so little time to do it in.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are travelling so we are participating as guests (surfers). When we become a little more settled, we will be offering a couch.

We have already stayed with various people who are on the couchsurfing website. We have made some great friends from it.

Music, Movies, and Books

There is so much good music out there in the world-we love it all.
Rock, pop, jazz, blues, classical and all other wierd and wonderful forms of musical expression.
we watch many films and also have read many interesting books too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

so many things are amazing at different times and on different levels. it can be somehing quite simple like an amazing moment on a high up place in a strange country for the first time and breathing in the fresh air and being thankful to be able to do these wonderful things or it can be travelling at 160mph on the TGV train through france for the first time. If you keep your mind and your eyes open, every day can show you something amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Anyone who wants to learn how to play bass/guitar or how to use a 35mm SLR film camera and learn how to process and develop the films and make their own photographs or learn acting skills, singing skills and how to start off in modelling....we can help. Kim has achieved notable success doing FASHION modelling, and I channel my abilities towards music photography and landscape. We would also be interested in learning how to go about `cob` building and making the best use of solar energy and any other stuff about becoming pretty much self sufficient.
