ABOUT ME
Originally I am from Seoul, South Korea. I've lived in the States for few years to study and work, but as my visa expired, now I am out in the world traveling.
PHILOSOPHY
Trust my gut.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I bring curiosity to learn about the others and generosity to share my bits with them.
The idea of creating random, yet meaningful connections with like-minded people all around the world fascinates me.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had an amazing first couchsurfing experience in Boston back in 2011 when I was hosted by people in cs co-op. Since then I surfed in several countries afterwards and became a couchsurfing community organizer in Seoul and Amherst.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to live in a place that could host strangers on the Internet yet but I am open to meeting them and exchanging each other's experience of life, travel and uh life.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - I dig into dream pop/electronic, but I enjoy eclectic mix of music. Music is even better in live shows and festivals - I should attend more.
Movies - Picking favorites is hard.
Books - Not a big fan of fiction (call me unimaginative), more into non-fiction. I liked books I read in the college to complete sociology requirements. One of them was Alone Together by Sherry Turkle, an interesting observation of changing human social behavior in a connected society.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The proudest and the most amazing thing I've done incrementally over years is getting over social anxiety. I was extremely shy and introverted for most of my life, which I hated.
The last five years had been an experiment in presenting myself and interacting with the others in social situations - efforts included working as a waitress, front-desk person, radio DJ and organizing cs community. (which helped a lot) Now I'm over it and happy with myself.
