About Me

CURRENT MISSION

trying to find out what this world is all about

ABOUT ME

I'm an open-minded, uncomplicated and relaxed guy. I like to see, learn about and experience new things, places and people. For the rest, I'd suggest that you find that out in person! Yes, I'm rather bad at describing myself.

PHILOSOPHY

I tend to just roughly steer towards an interesting direction and then sit back to see what happens.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm trying to have a good time with meeting, hosting and surfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I haven't had many experiences with actual courch surfing. However, I met quite a bunch of courchsurfers on events or for travelling. I'm trying to look into the surfing and hosting parts soon.

Interests

I can quickly be drawn to new things so it's a little hard to pin down specific areas of interest. I like mathematics, most of the sciences, languages, psychology and discussions in which I can learn something new. Also, being lazy and enjoying to waste my time happens quite a bit. And cake. I love cake.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: very dependent on my current mood, unlikely to be found in the Top 40 and usually better when created or performed right here, right now. I like Electronic music (fast or mellow), movie soundtracks, ethnic tunes (Indian and Persian come to mind), some hiphop, some rock and various combinations of the above.

Books: Three Cups of Tea, Das Parfum, Der Steppenwolf, The Psychopath Test, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, scientific nonfiction and Disc World Novels. I love to hear recommendations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I find it amazing when I unexpectedly meet strangers, talk to them and find out that they are wonderful persons. Living and travelling in different places gives quite distinct experiences and I try to get a balance between the two. Visiting for vacation is nice but you'll get a much different perspective when you settle down for a while.
