ABOUT ME

Hmmm. It's hard describing yourself. I was born and grew up in Melbourne and like to think I know the city pretty well. I think I'll forever be a student... have studied fine Art, building design and now architecture. I'm almost done, but have taken time off to get some perspective, travel, focus on my friendships and make some money. SO... I work in a ballet shop doing a lot of their marketing and advertising, as well as a little retail (fitting ballet shoes and dressing little girls up like princesses) its a pretty rad job.

I'm a very creative, design-minded person. I love dance, art, architecture, design, music. I love meeting people on different creative journeys to me and collaborating with them in some way.

I absolutely adore my amazingly diverse group of friends in Melbourne, most of my hobbies revolve around seeing them play gigs in and around the city. I also love tattoos, skateboards, and bikes, and shoes with wheels. I'm not bad on a pair of quad skates, LOVE THE ROLLER DERBY.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most of my couch surfing experiences have been in Melbourne when I've been in a bad state to walk home, or just too cozy under a blanket with a cup of tea and good conversation at the end of a party to leave.

Hopefully I can collect a few more good stories OS.

MY INTERESTS INCLUDE...
Photography, Art, Architecture, anything design, fashion... I HAVE A SMALL SHOE FETISH, music... I'm very easy but I have a special place in my heart for surf punk and indie rock, I always enjoy seeing local bands. Travel, making new friends and exploring new cities whilst listening to music- making a soundtrack to my life!

Music, Movies, and Books

MOVIES Mostly awful 90's films that feature Johnny Depp, Leo DiCaprio, Jared Leto etc. Some include... Romeo and Juliet, Basketball Diaries, Requiem for a Dream, Trainspotting, This is England, Fight Club, Kill Bill, The Craft, Practical Magic, Amelie.

MUSIC Always changing but on high rotation at the moment... Thee Oh Sees, Ty Segall, The National, The Smiths, The Violent Femmes, Why?, Patti Smith, Nick Cave, Modest Mouse, The Kills, James Blake.

BOOKS Some favourite authors include... Eugenides, Bukowski, Irvine Welsh, Chuck Palahniuk, Burroughs, Vonnegut, PLath. I like cult fiction and stuff about taking drugs lol.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel definitely tops the list of amazing things done and seen. I've travelled throughout south east asia (Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, and India), studied in Germany and travelled throughout Europe. I've got lots of stories to tell!

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to think I can show people a side of Melbourne that might take months of living here to discover, and I'd also love to share my amazing friends around.
I would love to learn about different cultures and hear about peoples travel stories. That's always fun.
