Overview
About Me
I can not plan more than a week or so ahead, so please do not send requests further ahead in time than that!
CURRENT MISSION
Do more of what I like, and less of what I don't.
ABOUT ME
My friends call me Jåddi (pronounced: yaw-dee)... And that means that YOU should too, since strangers are really just friends you haven't met yet! :D
PHILOSOPHY
On my sojourn so far through this life, I've sought answers as to HOW I should live, rather than WHY.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
At first I was eager to host as many people as possible, but all the one-night hosting situations made me feel more like my house is a hotel.
Now, when I host people, I prefer to host people who want to stay more than 1 night. That way I get to spend some time with them and get to know them, so the experience becomes more complete.
I've only surfed a few times myself, and it was wonderful!
I've had a lot of surfers in my house, though, and almost every single one has been a very rewarding experience. I'm proud to be a member of this community!
With that said, if you're in a serious pinch, hit me up, and maybe we can work something out :)
Interests
I have an artistic soul, which mainly comes to show in the form of music or film. I've been lead singer in a few local bands, and participated in a choir battle in the past few years, but now I mostly play for my own therapy. And, of course, anyone who's within hearing range!
Other than that, I spend quite a lot of time writing or acting in films with my mates at Unfrozen Pictures, and
I am also a serious gamer, and tend to spend quite some time with my crew on headset, with the expected banter to go with it. Good times!
I'm known to be curious, yet critical to the world around me, the people in it, and how they interact with each other. I find psychology and science interesting, is what I'm getting at... I love learning new things!
Also, I have a good ear for languages, and they fascinate me deeply! Although I only speak a few, I find parallels and similarities in most languages.
Music, Movies, and Books
There's nothing like north-Norwegian humor!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Among others, the most unique was piloting a mini-plane through the mountainy areas around Bodø, and fly over a glacier, with a colleague. Feeling the plane shift, tilt, shake, dive and rise with the slightest movement of the stick was surreal! Doing a zero G dive, making every small object in the cocpit, and myself, weightless and float around was insane!
Teach, Learn, Share
If you're planning a trip in Norway, I'm happy to teach you my language in a simple, yet effective way. It's nice to know some useful phrases to get what you want.
I also play the guitar, and I love to teach others that as well.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A nice, open, laid back atmosphere with as little or much interaction as we feel like. Don't worry!
