About Me

CURRENT MISSION

learn as if you were to live forever, live as if you were to die tomorrow

ABOUT ME

I'm passionated about music, photography, movies, and any person that has something to tell.

I love sharing a bottle of wine, reading a book, or just closing eyes on a sunny day in the park..

..that might already tell a little bit about myself. You can find more in the references below, since I find it still not very easy to describe myself.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't gain the world and lose your soul, wisdom is better than silver or gold (BM).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Icefields Parkway, Canada. Astonishing nature, even if it was very foggy.

An evening & the night on the Hurtigruten line along the Norwegian coast.

Scottish Isles of Skye, Harris & Lewis.

Departing, unprepared for a trip from Brussels to Istanbul through Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Servia, Croatia, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Greece, and Turkey. However, I was stopped at the Albanian border by some fraudulent authorities, and crossing Kosovo at that time was not a valid alternative (war, you know). I changed my plans, came back, and visited on the way Hungary, Slovakia, and Czech Republic. Lovely. One day I go for a retry ;)

I lived one year in Kiev, Ukraine, for work. The persons I've met and the things I've heard and seen there, have changed my way of living. And I'm grateful for that.

Trans-siberian express: days of sleeping, staring through the window, meeting people, eating, sleeping again, and drinking.. did I mention gazing through the window?

Gobi-expedition in the desert of Mongolia. Meeting nomad families living in eternal dust and 50 miles away from their neighbour

Beijing: lovely and hospitable people in a place where you would expect it least. Parcs in Beijing are fabulous with people of all ages performing fascinating mixture of martial arts, breathing exercises, Beijing Opera, calligraphy, ballroom dancing, Yang Ge dancing, badminton, jogging, hanging from trees, shouting exercises, meditation, kite-flying,... Some t’ai chi shadow boxers practise “monkey’s retreat” or “send the tiger over the mountain”, and later in the evening elderly people spread out chessboards, mah-jong tiles, dominoes or playing cards, and spectators roll jangling steel balls around their hands, a practice said to prevent rheumatism. Some bring even along their birdcages..

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help in learning how to play guitar, and find your way in basic music theory.

Can guide you in learning some Dutch or French language..
