About Me
I'm an adventurer photographer! Never left my studies in sciences, what really fascinates me, but my true real love is photography.
I grew up in countryside of Brazil, almost on a farm, what made me really in love with nature and all the simple things in the world.
When I was turning a teenager I moved to Sao Paulo, the biggest city in Brazil...so many buildings, the city that never sleeps (yep, it reminds me New York in some aspects), cars, a lot of traffic jam but a real ethnic center! São Paulo is a great place to find a way to live with any kind of people...and I really love it.
I love to travel, to see different places and always try to capture the best of each one, feel the essence, immerse on the culture! I really love how different cultures can be.
I also love different languages and have a dream about learning some different ones as french, greek and german. I specially love my mother tongue: portuguese. When I moved to Chicago and had to speak english for a long time I saw and understood how beautiful it is. And turned in love with this complicated language...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm always traveling because of my studies. I usually go to conferences and congresses to show what's new on my project and my findings in science, turn it public to science community to contribute in someway to new projects and studies directions.
In another hand I always try to make this trips a part of me, my photography and my life experience. That's why I always get some days off to enjoy the real Jac's life and try new cultures, new friends, new food...
That's all about being lost in some new world. And this is really important to me.
I also love to have new people at my home and show my special Sao Paulo to them, maybe go out for a trip inside of Brazil =) I like to teach my language, to cook traditional food, explain how things work here, differences, share music and art experience...
Interests
Photography --- my true love! Studied photography with Richard Stromberg, the most fascinating photography teacher! All my photos are dedicated to him (RIP).
Music --- my husband is a musician. He plays banjo, guitar, eletric guitar, bass and just starting to learn trombone. He also writes songs. I'm a special fan and we usually work together in the songs. I almost play guitar, that's all =S but I really love music, a lot of kinds, specially folk, folk rock, indie rock and rockabilly.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
To be in a special historic city in Brazil - Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais - actually it turned my favorite city in Brazil - and to make new friends on the streets where we spent the night playing guitar and singing all together, sharing experiences and composing what we called "beco dos artistas". One night after this casual meeting, we've met occasionally again on a different city and spent new year's eve together. Destiny put us together those days and it's gonna be forever in my mind and heart.
