Overview
About Me
Hello fellow adventurers, My names Jaclyn (aka Jac) andI grew up in Australia and moved to London last August to be able to travel more of Europe. I've been very fortunate to have visited parts of Africa including Madagascar and most countries in Europe but have so much more I'm wanting to see and do. My partner Sean (he's a Kiwi) and I are having to move back to Aus in December and are planning a trip through Scandinavia on the way back.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We are giving couch surfing a go because we have used air b'n'b in the past and loved staying with locals and had it recommended to us by a friend to give it a go. We are typical backpackers in that when we visit a city we're not overly keen on spending the whole time in museums. We prefer to get hints (from locals and friends who have been before) about great cafe's and pubs to visit, and love getting lost down little side streets that walking tours usually divert you from. We are hoping that coach surfing will allow us to experience the cities in a more detailed and unforced natural way.
Interests
Jaclyn- I love discovering something new, whether it's food, music, a place or a plant (I love gardening). I enjoy reading which goes hand in hand with my travel bug because I get plenty of time on flights and trains and buses to catch up on novels.

Music, Movies, and Books
Jaclyn- I have to admit I enjoy country music, but I love anything that I can dance and sing along to. I'm not a huge movie/TV person because I sit in front of a computer screen all day at work so try to avoid it in my 'off' hours. Books however I can get absorbed in them for hours, I enjoy fictional novels but have started educating myself on older classics.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Jaclyn- I've been fortunate to have had a wonderful life already, I've been skydiving in Hawaii, white river rafting on the Zambezi and bungee jumping in New Zealand (sorry I couldn't pick one).
Teach, Learn, Share
I love gardening seem to have a natural ability to bring struggling plants back to life(except the thyme plant). I would love to learn an instrument, in particular a piano, but I feel that may have to wait until I have found a place to settle in life.
We would love to learn French and area planning on moving to France in the future
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my adventures and discoveries from travelling through Africa. But I would mostly like to learn from my hosts about what it's like living in Scandinavia (kind of the opposite to Australia)
Countries I’ve Lived In
