About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Love life. Learn. Explore. Meet people everywhere I go.
ABOUT ME
The number one thing on my bucket list used to be to go to as many countries as years I've been alive. At 28, I've exceeded that goal (42!) and am now looking forward to doubling my age in countries :).
To say I love travelling is an understatement. Travelling to me is essential - experiencing new cultures, exploring new places, meeting new people - these are the adventures I live for.
I graduated from The College of William and Mary in 2009 and moved to Guatemala where I volunteered at an orphanage for a year. After working at nonprofits in the US and abroad for years I decided it was time to make the leap of faith to become a full-time photographer. Feel free to check out my website here: www.focusonjoyphotography.com
I'm currently driving cross country through the US - I hope to be fortunate enough to meet you on my travels!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is the most wonderful way to see and experience new places and meet new people. It connects you to strangers all over the globe, who quickly become friends. I've had such incredible couchsurfing experiences and feel so fortunate to have met the people I have.
I have couchsurfed in Europe and met couchsurfers in Australia and New Zealand, but can't wait to explore the rest of the world!
Interests
My two biggest passions in life are travelling and photography. Fortunately for me, the two go hand in hand :). When I'm not at work, hopping on a train/plane/subway, or behind the lens of a camera, I can usually be found exploring my own neighborhood or snuggling with my hubby and two cats at home.
I'm also quite a big fan of...doing nice things for no reason, s'mores, elephants, all things chocolate, warm weather, late night conversations, being goofy, cup of noodles, singing, and meeting new people.
