Backstory:
Grew up in small town, Minnesota, USA
Went to University of MN for political science
Found a calling in conservation field work
Decided to give long term travel a try after saving up for a year
Did a 6 month bike trip with my partner around SE Asia
Landed in Taiwan due to too many things to list here and loved every minute of it
Felt the need to explore and grow before rooting down
Currently traveling Australia with my partner of 6 years, Ana De La Torre

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I am going to be traveling soon and want to boost up my profile by hosting some people. Back when I did my cycling trip with my partner, we used her account for our couch surfing experiences so I'd like to make mine better.
I've had a lot of fun hosting and it's been great to meet so many fantastic people! I really enjoy helping people out when things line up and sharing the great things Taiwan has to offer.

Intereses

Mainly an outdoors guy but definitely not limited to that. I really enjoy exploring and trying new things. It is great when my guests are musically or artistically inclined so that we can share.

I like most music and will be singing throughout the day.

My favorite genre of books is nonfiction but I love a good sci-fi book. Guns, Germs, and Steel is my currently my favorite nonfiction.

If you have a few hours open we can sit and talk about movies.

6 month bicycle tour of SE Asia. Bicycle touring is my favorite way to travel and I heavily recommend that you try it at some point. Get on your bikes and ride!

There's plenty to say about Taiwan and the Hualien area so let me know if you're interested in learning more. I am particularly interested in the local Aboriginal peoples and will enjoy sharing information about them.
