Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Happiness through adventure.
ABOUT ME
I'm a Gap Year student who just completed a thru-hike of the 2,650 mile long Pacific Crest Trail. Looking forward to filling a year with travel and climbing!
I think that my friends would call me crunchy-granola, but I think thats only because I spent a semester working on a farm in rural Vermont.
I believe that life is an adventure, if you want it to be. I do.
PHILOSOPHY
I would rather be ashes than dust!
I would rather that my spark should burn out
in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot.
I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom
of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.
The function of man is to live, not to exist.
I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them.
I shall use my time.
~Jack London
As soon as I saw this quote, on a journal in the Huntington Library, I adopted it as my own.

Music, Movies, and Books
While I don't agree with everything the man has to say, I really enjoy the writings of Edward Abbey.
I've also been listening to a lot of Indie Folk music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I walked the longest continuous footpath in the world in one season. I'm also a amateur blanket fort builder.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a thru-hiker and so have a lot of knowledge to share about backpacking and would love to take anyone who wants to learn out on a trip. I'm also a pretty proficient climber and have no problem teaching the basics!
