About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To leave a positive memory in as many people as possible

ABOUT ME

After working as an engineer I decided to leave it, am now a high school Physics teacher. I love traveling and have had wonderful experiences all over the world, feel I should help host people and show them Los Angeles/Orange County has more to it than what is seen in movies and TV!

PHILOSOPHY

From a young age I remember learning the Golden Rule, "treat others as you would like to be treated". A simple way to view things that I try and live by.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a few people and it's been a great experience. I get to meet people from around the world and get their perspective on things, plus show them the beauties of Orange County!

Interests

I love playing volleyball, beach or indoor. The last year I've abandoned hitting the gym and have been doing lots of yoga, loving it! I love anything outdoors but also can sit inside to read and relax.

Music, Movies, and Books

For movies I haven't been as active in the last 10 years, just seeing a few now and then. I can say one of my favorites from before is Tim Burton's "Big Fish".

As for books, I read a lot more frequently now than I ever did as a child. My FAVORITE book and the series following it is Hyperion by Dan Simmons. I first read it about 8 years ago, and since then I have re-read the series two more times. Unfortunately all my friends I recommend it to have yet to pick it up, I hope you do though!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wandering around Central America for two months would definitely qualify as an amazing experience. Traveling by myself gave me a lot of time for wonder and reflection, something I'm so happy I did.

Teach, Learn, Share

As a high school teacher though my subject is Physics, I try and give other perspectives about life. I want to help our youth develop their outlook in life and what they want to do with their lives. My advice, find what makes you happy, and go for it.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Germany, Honduras, Hong Kong, Italy, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Panama, Taiwan, Tanzania, Thailand
