Overview
About Me
I like traveling (I suppose everyone on CS does?) (how many L's are in "traveling"?). I have been to 48 U.S. states and 16 countries. I enjoy photography, cycling, urban exploration, astronomy, and intellectual discussion about technology and philosophy. I own an electric typewriter, but it only works about half the time, so if you happen to be an expert in typewriter repair I will almost certainly host you! (Even if you're not an expert in typewriter repair, I might still host you...)
Hosting info (please read before requesting to stay):
• I can host for anywhere between 1 to 4 nights.
• My schedule can be a bit unpredictable, so I can't accept requests more than a month or so ahead of time -- I simply can't promise I'll be around from that far in advance.
• On the flipside, I'm totally cool with last-minute requests. I've been in the position of having the sun go down and not knowing where I'll stay, so if you're in a pinch, feel free to shoot me a message (although a couple days notice certainly helps if possible).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a guest: Couchsurfing is objectively better than any alternative. Instead of spending a lot of your money to sleep in a depressing box and meet no one, you can spend none of your money and meet some of the coolest, most interesting people on earth!
As a host: Paying forward kindness I've been shown, and getting out of my routine. It's easy when you're living in one place to keep seeing the same sorts of people over and over again. Hosting travelers is a cool way to see some new perspectives.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Did a solo cycling trip across the U.S. in the summer of 2019. There is no better way to see this great country than to progress across it at ~10mph under your own power. Met lots of amazing people and saw the true power of human kindness, lots thanks to CS.
