I'm a teacher by trade, but I'm fascinated by languages - not that I'm much good at learning them!

I feel I'm very lucky in that I've already travelled around a fair amount, but I'm constantly planning out new trips. Looking to explore the Balkans later this year.

I'm fairly quiet and introverted, but I enjoy a night out on the town now and then. I'm more likely to be found in a nice cafe with a few good friends - or a good book!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've just moved to Sofia, and I don't know as many people as I'd like. Love to meet up!

Interests

I used to drum in Australia. Baggage limits being what they are, I can't really take my kit with me, but I wouldn't mind getting back into playing music again.

I also used to make beer back home. Haven't seen much evidence of the kit you'd need here, but again, something I'd like to get back into.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - changes every month, but I'm currently relistening to Something For Kate.

Movies - difficult! Just watched Stalker - pretty good!

Books - too many to count. I love reading about history and languages. If I had to choose one book, it would be Starmaker by Olaf Stapledon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked up and around every single mountain surrounding Bergen, in Norway, in one day! My legs had fallen off by the end of it.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach - English! I'm not too shabby at grammar (it's my job, after all).

Learn - Bulgarian and Esperanto. Any odd or strange facts you may have stumbled across.

Share - I'm trying to get back into the habit of cooking and baking; would love to swap recipies and/or food.

I can certainly help with tutoring in English. I also don't mind cooking.
