Overview
About Me
Hi! I'm Jack, 25, originally from Bristol but living in South Wales. I work in Environmental Policy, whilst doing other artistic jobs on the side (comedy, circus, music... cost of living crisis, yanno?). Avid player of rugby, and powerlifting. I have made so many travel pals already, can't wait to make more and show more people the beauty of my part of the UK/Wales!
There is a separate, private room downstairs with a double sofa bed for any guests that stay!
Also as a member of the LGBTQ+ community any guests who stay with me should know my home will always been an accepting safe space to anyone who wishes to stay!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The best part of travelling for me is meeting all the people I have met - whether it's drag queens in Slovenia, a motorbike crew in Vietnam, or just all the people you get to meet in Hostels, Bars etc. I've been lucky to meet so many people and equally host so many people in Wales. Can't wait to meet more great people!

Music, Movies, and Books
Oh god, if I'm honest I think every new book I read is usually my favourite. The current one I'm reading is "The Road to Tehran". The author cycled from London to Tehran as a way of dispelling myths about the danger of travelling alone and how you can always meet people.
In terms of music I have listened to just about every genre at some point so drop your favourites! I have a long list of international pop I've collected but growing up in Bristol meant we had a great indie/rock/acoustic scene too!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I tend to throw myself into random things quite a lot... I think the main one is doing stand-up comedy in Spanish... when I was only 4 months into learning Spanish! I have toured around the UK doing Stand-Up anyway but safe to say standing in front of those people in Madrid was a challenge!
Teach, Learn, Share
Aside from showing guests about the amazing cultures and cities around where I live, or languages... maybe juggling? I was part of a circus so may as well put it to use...
What I Can Share with Hosts
Honestly? I have to big up my part of the UK... If you're visiting, the Bath/Bristol/Cardiff trio is great. I used to be a tour guide and have shown my travel pals around before but here's why you can see so much with this trio of cities:
1.) Bath - Historic city still made of the original Roman stone, very quintessential British town, known for having amazing spas and a rich history.
2.) Bristol (hometown) - Home of Banksy, Skins, the centre of the UK for underground art scenes, modern art, alternative venues, raves/festivals and social movements. The best place to see modern British culture and anything art. Very diverse and a great music scene too.
3.) Cardiff - Effectively a short but ideal way to immerse yourself in Welsh culture. The language, the food, the centre of Welsh culture and History all in it's capital city. The public transport is amazing with short connections to some of the best beaches and nature spots in the UK.
