About Me
Hey there,
Things change/I change, but here are some things about me that are true for most of the time at least :)
I grew up on a farm in the English countryside and love nature and the outdoors, I also really enjoy the busier culture and nightlife of cities. My main purpose in life, for now, is to use creativity by whatever means to instigate positive change in myself, others, and the world (in whatever small way I can).
I'm an English Literature graduate, poet, and sometimes a DJ.
My main interest besides/alongside these other things is meditation. I led a mediation society in my final year of university and now I'm looking to continue furthering my practice and sharing what I learn with others.
I believe in cultivating an awareness that accounts for the interconnection and impermanence of all things. I believe that play, fun, and humour are as important to life as stillness, curiosity, and discernment.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've had some amazing experiences through Couchsurfing and its often been the people, surfers or hosts, who have made these experiences so special.
There is an openness, and a desire to connect amongst CSers that I cannot help but feel drawn towards.
At times, CS has felt like global community with the feeling of a small village - its a community that reminds me there is still so much goodness in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music
Dub, Roots and Reggae, Techno, Jungle, Ambient, Hip-Hop, Classical and more. Often it seems that the best music comes from recommendations of friends and strangers, I'm always listening for new sounds.
Movies
Films are something I'm beginning to enjoy more and more. Particularly films that provoke thoughts and feelings (as opposed to more mindless stuff).
Books
Non-fiction texts about meditation/psychedelics/the mind. But also fiction, I really enjoy the modernist style of writing, throwing the rule-book out the window and finding new ways to write.
I enjoy reading Poetry as well, recently picked up Alan Buckley's debut collection "Touched" and it blew me away.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Curated and hosted an art exhibition, song and poetry event with performances to raise awareness for mental health issues.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Things and ideas, food and drink, laughter and enquiry
Really the main reason I use Couchsurfing is so that I can share my own experiences and thoughts with those hosts who might be willing to do the same with me. Sharing here understood as a foundation of connection.
