Hello everyone. It’s very nice to meet you all. I am Jack from Taiwan, a small island off the east coast of China. I am an easygoing, open-minded, and enthusiastic person. I am currently a freshman in university, majoring in history. I hope this summer vacation will let me be able to start my first destination of traveling all over the world. I love challenges, which helps me grow as a person and make positive changes in my life. This summer, I set a goal for myself to travel Europe for a while by myself. Honestly, I am a little nervous because I have never travelled so far away from home and for so long; but I hope this next chapter in my life will be colorful and full of unexpected, happy memories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a desire to travel, but lacks the experience of travelling abroad. Couchsurfing seems like a big and warm family to me. Many people here are so generous and hospitable so I would not feel "homeless" during my journey. I would also like to enjoy spending time with people here during my travels. I have hosted several travelers at my place in Taiwan, but I’ve not yet had the chance to be a surfer in a foreign country before. I hope I can live locally, communicate with the locals, learn some travel tips, and to learn of the best local spots during my travels. This to me is the true meaning of traveling and why I am on Couchsurfing.
有一颗爱冒险的心，尝试新事物，这是我想加入couchsurfing这个温馨的大家庭的原因，最一開始我有几个host的经验，他们给我很棒的回忆，後來终于有了机会能够成为真正的沙发客，更是上癮。我希望能够从沙发主人身上得到在地人的好去处，像个道地道地的内行人，跟当地人过一样的生活。我通常没有固定的计划，风景名胜不重要，希望能多体验与在地人接触。另外我也设法让自己多一点国际化，增强自己英文实力。

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Since every day is a surprise for me, I love challenging and novel things. I’m a rather conservative person, so I try to prepare myself for my future travels in a way that makes me feel comfortable. Even though I’m a little reserved, I try my best to put myself out there and try new things and experiences.
There are many stories my friend and I would be excited to share with you. I think the most exciting thing is that I have made a booking for a round-trip flight to Europe for 71 day without planning too much, as to make my trip too rigid in its itinerary. What will my trip to Europe be like? I’m not sure, but I hope you’re part of the story!

每天都有神奇的經歷發生，說也說不完。

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will be most appreciative if you are nice enough to host me. I can share introduce my country, and share my interesting travel experiences and hobbies with you, such as cooking and singing.

Since I love cooking and do it every weekend for my family. I can cook various Chinese dishes for you as well! I am excited to show you some if you’d be interested in tasting authentic Taiwanese and Chinese dishes.

Additionally, I am happy to help out with house chores and gardening.
