Hey! I'm an Irish University student travelling through Europe with my little brother, Ben, and looking to experience the rich culture and beautiful sights of Europe. This is my first proper trip abroad but I know a little Spanish and French and I'm really looking forward to it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My older sister has been using this site for years and she always told us about how many cool people she met on her travels. I want to do that too: meet really cool people while travelling through the beautiful cities of Europe.

Interests

I am currently studying maths at uni so I have a great interest in that. I enjoy thinking about hard problems so that extends into philosophy and physics, but I like relaxing by playing guitar and singing or chilling out with my friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a big fan of all of Jack White's work, and I really enjoy other blues, rock and punk music. I like Tyler, The Creator and rap too though and Bob Dylan is a genius like.
Favourite fiction author is probably Terry Pratchett, but I read a fair bit of mythology and non-fiction too.
I am interested learning about the mechanics of movies like script-writing, cinematography etc. Favourite film is probably Fantastic Mr Fox or Dr. Strangelove.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Les Miserables. I used to be really into musical theatre along with Ben. One summer we took part in a really professional youth production of Les Miserables and raising the French flag in triumph on the final night will always be a magical moment in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching maths. Communicating a subject that is often mistaught to people and showing its underlying, hidden beauty is really satisfying. Ben can also juggle and is a pretty good teacher too! I'd like to learn some more Spanish and French on my trip, but i really want to learn to unicycle at some point.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer some interesting conversations about science and art, Ben can fix things (he's really good at that) and we both enjoy the Irish hobby of drinking many, many pints. Im also tryna learn harmonica, got my one in the key of A with me, maybe we could jam. We'd really appreciate if you could help us out and make some new friends :)
