ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Jack, I'm 23 and from Liverpool, England. I live in Manchester and am about to start my training as a trainee trade mark attorney. I previously lived in Leeds and Madrid.

I'm a huge music fan. My record collection is my pride and joy! I really enjoy going to gigs and concerts and over the past few years I have volunteered at music festivals in England. This summer, my friend Alex and I went to New York for Governors Ball festival, and next year I will be ticking Coachella off my bucket list!

I also have quite a fanatic obsession with French bulldogs and if I ever see one in the street, I can't help but ask the owner if I can hold them and take a photo with them. The dream is to one day have my own!

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy can be summed up simply in two words: 'say yes'. I love saying yes to new opportunities, learning new things and exploring new places and cultures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's only just beginning! I have spent a lot of time with couchsurfers who were staying with my friend Alex, and I have had a great time getting to know them, find out more about their culture and help them discover the wonderful Manchester. Now I want to get involved! I am currently looking for some friendly couchsurfers who I can stay with in Madrid at any point between 9th-14th October, and after that I am excited to host couchsurfers at the amazing church I currently live in.

I'm always listening to music. My favourite artists include: Arctic Monkeys; Marina & the Diamonds; Florence + the Machine; Oh Wonder; MS MR; Bombay Bicycle Club; Haim; Lorde; Alt-J; George Ezra; MØ; Lykke Li; SOHN; Kanye West; Banks; Years & Years; London Grammar; Vampire Weekend.

I really enjoy reading, my favourite book is either The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald or anything by Jonas Jonasson. Currently reading The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

When I turned 18, I travelled to France on my own to see Stevie Wonder play live in an Ancient Roman ampitheatre. It was truly incredible.
