I'm an Australian psychology graduate that has just finished traveling around the world, including a stint teaching psychology in China. I now live in Sydney and work as a researcher. Over the past year I've enjoyed the generosity of many Couchsurfers and now would love to contribute to the community by hosting. I can't offer much, but I'm willing to help any visitors to Sydney. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To make friends and experience new cultures. I've been shocked by how kind people are to travelers and have already made some enduring friendships.

Interests

One of my great passions is teaching. I teach psychology at a high school and have previously tutored undergraduate social and personality psychology at a university in Sydney (I also teach statistics but people tend to be less excited by that). Strangely, I have also worked as a sexual health educator which has left me with some very amusing stories. The point is that I really love to teach.

I have also just learnt to scuba dive and think it's brilliant! It's incredible to experience a whole other world beneath the sea. I read a lot too- mainly about politics- so I'm up for an interesting discussion over a few beers. Finally, I speak Spanish (poorly) and Chinese (very poorly) so I'm always excited by any opportunity to expand my vocabulary.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Scuba diving at night with only a flashlight. Glowing plankton and blue-spotted stingrays. Absolutely incredible.
