Overview
About Me
I am a first time solo traveller from England who is completely new to Couchsurfing. So far what I’ve learned about myself as a traveller is that I’m a relatively ‘lazy’ traveller. What I mean by that is I stay in places maybe for longer than other people do, and I’d rather get a proper feel for a couple of places than say I’ve been to more (which I don’t necessarily think is a bad thing).
I am fresh out of university where I studied economics at the University of Sheffield. I also worked as an economist in the UK government for a year, and turned down a job offer after university to come travelling. I absolutely love travelling, although do miss Saturdays down the pub watching all the football. I am a very easy going and sociable person I’d like to think!
Looking forward to repaying my dues when I have my own place and hosting other Couchsurfers!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love making new friends!
Interests
My main passions are football and economics. More generally, I like to vary my leisure time between nights out, cultural activities, nice meals out, movie nights and reading- there is definitely a time and a mood for all of these things!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One thing that I’m very proud of is being awarded the Knoop Economics Prize at the University of Sheffield for the best performing economist, with an average mark of 83 across my final academic year
