About Me

I'm 21 years old and love sports, travel, and the outdoors. During the summers I am a outdoor wilderness educator for Hurricane Island Outward Bound in Maine. During the fall and winter I work on an apple orchard in Vermont. Vermont is my favorite place in the world, and if you meet me, you can be sure that you will here about it. I believe that we should treat life as our adventure, and not do things that we aren't interested in so we can go on vacation from our day to day lives. More than anything I love to get outside.

When I was 19 I traveled for 7 months in Latin America, and learned more about who I wanted to be in this world, and how I wanted to travel. I want to see different perspectives on the world, and hear the lessons others have learned during their time on this magical earth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really like the idea of a more genuine travel experience. I don't like going to churches, historical monuments, or museums and taking photos of myself just so I can prove to others I have gone. I DO want to see the places that make this world special to my host. I want to see a favorite coffee shop, a back road, a lesser know hike, or just what you do with your friends that makes life special to you. I want to share a meal, the process of making it, and the final result.
