About Me
Hey, my name is Jack. i'm 22, fresh out of uni, and I want to see the world! I think there's nothing better than music, sunshine, hills and long conversation with kindred spirits. I'm a lover of mountains: running, hiking and mountain biking are my passions. Spending time in the hills has given me a deep respect for nature and I always want to learn more about its mysteries. I've been described as gentle and sincere and I always try to look for the best in people. While I'm travelling, I want to try new things and always have my perceptions challenged, there's so much out there to learn!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I'm a big fan of dub and reggae. If you know anywhere where there is a big soundsystems and nice tunes please let me know! I also love Irish and Scottish folk music. I have been playing the fiddle for a number of years
Books: I love writers who connect with nature in a very deep and personal way. My favourite book ever is Walden by Henry David Thoreau. Other writers I enjoy are Arne Naess, Gary Snyder, Nan Shepherd and Jack Kerouac. Currently reading "The Spell of the Sensuous" by David Abram which is blowing my mind
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was a teenager I raced mountain bikes for my country. This has taken me to many amazing places around the world
