I love meeting new people from different parts of the world, with different backgrounds and outlooks on life. I'm most happy when in the outdoors and love being in the hills and mountains. I have travelled quite a lot in the past, working here and there. I spent 2014 working in Munich developing a laser and I now live near York.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of the best things about travelling is meeting people from different parts of the world. Couchsurfing is a great way to still do that when I'm at home in the UK! I especially want to meet Germans to practice speaking with!

Interests

I enjoy getting out into the hills, walking, climbing, biking, skiing. I've got into sailing over the past couple of years, and more recently paragliding. That said, I've always got time for staying in with a board game or sitting on the sofa reading a good book or watching a bad movie.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've recently been struggling through German books in an attempt to improve my grasp of the language. Currently reading 'Anna Karenina'.
I'm a big fan of music, too many great artists to list here. Love listening to BBC Radio 6 and FM4 in Austria.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm really happy I decided to live for a year in a country in which I wasn't born and couldn't speak the language - really opened my eyes!
