ABOUT ME

I am a big music enthusiast and spend a lot of my time listening to different things.

I go to university by day and work in a traditional English pub by night. During the week I teach English to foreign students at university. I like this a lot too.

I'm massively interested in making documentaries and writing, both are things that I spend most of my free time doing or at least thinking about. I really enjoy skateboarding and snowboarding but at the moment both are things i rarely find the time to do.

When I travel I love going to countryside areas and places where you can sit down relax and read a little. On the opposite spectrum however I find big cities fascinating and love wandering around and mooching. I love the idea of living in America and especially so after working out there for 3 months.

I'd like to have a lifestyle whereby I could host and CouchSurf a lot more regularly and intend to live said lifestyle very soon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In general my CouchSurfing experiences have been enlightening. All of the people I have traveled with and surfed with have been fantastic and equally each place I have visited has had character as distinctly enjoyable as the last.

Getting real big into my reading and I'm enjoying a bit of George Orwell, Mark Haddon, Jack Kerouac and F.Scott Fitzgerald.

I love sitcoms and I am really enjoying Eastbound and Down, Parks and Recreation, Community, King of the Hill, The Simpsons, Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

I'm going through a Bonobo phase at the moment but I can't stop listening to The Vaselines, Velvet Underground, Spoon, Sufjan Stevens and Lee Perry at the moment. Like a bit of all sorts though.

The first time I went snowboarding I was pretty sure I'd never experience anything as amazing. I was listening to music as I snowboarded down a mountain in -25c blizzards. The fog was thick and my goggles were frozen over, I couldn't see a thing. Eventually I emerge from the fog and am greeted by the blazing sun light shining down the valley. Soon the frost melts from my eye wear and the entire valley opens up. It was amazing.

When I was working in New Hampshire as maintenance worker on a camp I was cutting down some shrubs. I was next a lagoon of sorts when a fox trotted past and brushed up against my leg. He walked on by and looked relaxed. Pretty cool fox!
