ABOUT ME

9-5er in the wonderful City of London. Wanderlust curtailed at the moment, but nonetheless undimmed. Quiet, but (I like to think) thoughtful. Want to spend my life seeing more and more of the world. I tend to listen rather than talk because I find other people and their stories more fascinating than revisiting experiences that I've already lived. Will therefore be eager hear what you're about...

Met many wonderful people who provided shelter, company and advice while I was travelling in S America.

Intereses

Running, cycling, hiking, tennis.
Beautiful countryside and architecture.
Watching football, rugby, cricket, in fact most sports, and somehow managed to get myself hooked onto professional cycling in a big way. Like good food, beer and whisky as well:)

Música, películas y libros

Music: Rock, indie (Bowie, LedZep, Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Belle and Sebastian, British Sea Power...) and now electronica (Aphex Twin, Apparat, HEALTH, Temper Trap...) But always keen to hear something new!

Books: The Magus (John Fowles), Candide and Catch 22 stand out. Love getting suggestions as to which of the 'books you're supposed to read' to actually start on. Enjoy thrillers and sci-fi too.

I love learning full stop, and would be grateful to hear whatever you want to teach. If it falls into conversation, I'll probably ask you about what you think about politics/philosophy/religion etc anyway...

As to what I can teach, errm: I used to be a tennis coach? Could tell you how beer and whisky are made? Are you interested in the rules of cricket?! Would happily teach what little I can remember of Physics, but probably even fewer people are interested...

Would be delighted to teach English too, if I can be of any help, and would genuinely enjoy proofreading/checking written English.

Hoping to find some people (who'll probably need a good deal of patience... ) who're willing to help me grow in confidence speaking Spanish.
