About Me
CURRENT MISSION
How am I supposed to decide where to live if I haven't been everywhere?
ABOUT ME
I have lived in seven of the United States and have been to 19 countries so far...I have a problem with wander lust. Currently, I am on a one year hiatus from work to cross off a few items on my to-do list.
PHILOSOPHY
A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.
-Robert A. Heinlein
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I look forward to meeting adventurous and curious people during my wanderings and am anxious to begin hosting in the next month or two. Please feel free to contact me if you are visiting Paris would like a partner in crime. I am always up for a museum visit, coffee, hike, or drinks with free spirited people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am a brand new member of CS, though I have hosted many friends from around the world. Upon my return to the US, my couch in the Bay Area (near San Francisco) will be up for grabs.
Interests
I am completely addicted to dancing like a weirdo to electro/industrial music and running like an antelope through city streets. I love to hike both on trails and though cities. I like to make new things out of old things. I am a strong supporter of body modifications. I have not owned a TV in many many years. I enjoy identifying insects, birds, and plants, listening to people with accents, visiting unfamiliar places, sailing boats, kittens, riding trains, reading books by henry miller while soaking in the bathtub, eating tom kha gai, and solving riddles that take me days to figure out.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During one visit to the island of Hawaii, I was taken at night by a local to a closed area of a lava field. As we got closer and closer to the glowing orange mass in the distance, my shoes began to feel hot. Just as the heat began to be unbearable, we caught view of liquid lava flowing off a cliff into the ocean. With each wave that crashed against the cliff, the hot lava would send fireworks in the air! It was one of the most spectacular sites I have ever seen.
