About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm on a mission to lose my sense of self in a cyclone of adventure and daring to do things that I'm afraid of. I would also like to answer all of life's big questions and be home in time for dinner. It'd be comforting, at least.
ABOUT ME
My favorite thing on this earth is to drink beer and talk to anyone. I enjoy writing in my free time and try to do things that are interesting enough to read about. I am a practitioner of situational humor and making dry, sarcastic observations of people in cafés. My last hitchhiking expedition was in 2011 when I was 19; I traveled up and down between California and Oregon for about three months. If you'd like a solid reference, I've been compared to Hyde from That 70's Show more times than I can count. I also don't really like That 70's Show. It's too overacted, though Danny Masterson is okay. Whatever.
Interests
I like walking, reading, and drinking. Those are my top three. I find meaning through wandering and I am currently on a journey to find a new self within me, or more accurately to abandon my self entirely. It may take some time.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Pulp Fiction (please, I'm a male in my 20's), Tree of Life, Upstream Color, Blue is the Warmest Color, many Japanese and French films, Pineapple Express and Superbad (they kind of go together. I'm sure they'll sell them one day as one of those box sets in Walmart if they don't already.).
Music: Fleet Foxes (please, I'm a hitchhiker), Mountain Man (ditto), Bob Dylan (.....), The Beatles (............), a variety of jazz and classical music including Bill Evans, Miles Davis, Paul Desmond, Moondog, and others.
Books: On the Road. It's why I started hitchhiking in the first place. Then: ANYTHING BY HARUKI MURAKAMI. If you like him, please let me talk to you. I love talking books. I love Salinger, Fitzgerald, Hemingway, and Philip K. Dick (can't shorten that one to just just Dick..) above most else. Also, Walden by Thoreau has been a great inspiration for me lately.
Teach, Learn, Share
Good conversation and hopefully some laughs.
