About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To soak up life before I begin a career in interior design in Toronto!

ABOUT ME

I graduated from college in Montreal with a degree in interior design. Met my boyfriend in Canada and am planning on moving to Toronto in Fall 2013 to be with him.

In the meantime I moved home to be with my grandpa at the end of his life, and to work and save money for a trip around the world visiting friends I made in university. I completed my loop around the northern hemisphere at the end of June and am settled in beautiful Sonoma County until my next adventure!

PHILOSOPHY

The grass is greener where you water it. No room for cynicism in my garden!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unable to host right now but happy to recommend things/meet up for a beer if I'm available. More likely to send an email recommendation though; living at home somehow my time gets sapped by family, which I love!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Tagging along with couch surfer friends of mine I've experienced the spectrum of host involvement. I'm down for whatever! I love meeting people and am pretty easy to get along with, although I don't drink much and I don't smoke and I do find it gross when people do. I don't think a best-friend situation will arise from every experience but I would enjoy staying in touch with people I connect with. My favorite couchsurfing experiences are those where I click with the people and we can look each other up once in a blue moon as old friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've spent some formative hours of my life talking to my grandparents. They have enhanced my appreciation and understand of life more than anyone other than my parents.

I've watched the sun set at year's end on the California coast and looked at the stars away from artificial light. I find drives/walks in the country of my home territory one of my favorite, most fulfilling pastimes.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach people to cook and knit! I'm pretty domestic in general and like to garden too. I'm not bad with languages and have studied a few.

I love learning about old crafty things like tatting or pickling or making jam. I want music and storytelling to be part of my future and all manner of unique, eclectic activities catch my interest.
