Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I am traveling for an extended period of time, couch surfing is a means to save money, but it is also a way to get social contact. I imagine long term travel could get quite lonely, and I think couch surfing every now and then will be a good way connect more personally with people. And it also humanises the cities you visit. Lastly, I think it takes you out of your comfort zone, which is a big part of why I am traveling.
I quit my job as a process engineer (31 March 2016); citing my ever dwindling youth and earnest desire to travel full-time. I loved my life in South Africa, I also really enjoyed my work and my friends, but I became too comfortable and my decisions up until now have all been too... safe. So I decided to uproot everything and really try.
I want to use this trip to travel slowly, invest in other things–other than making a company more money–I want to use my time to rather invest in other cultures, self-study, in my relationships/friendships and more wholly in myself. I am on couchsurfing to make new friendships on my journey around the world.

Teach, Learn, Share
I am a queer vegan atheist - all good topics :)
I am an excellent listener and have traveled a reasonable amount. Although I don't easily share personal things with strangers, I am emphatic and I am willing to share my experiences.
I want to study yoga on my trip, and soon I will be able to share that more.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Let's share a meal, drink or a party; let's share an experience. I am quite fun, give me a try :)
